Are there really any Cons to E85, yes there is, here they are:
(1) Con- You will need to change you oil more often. Typically every 2500-3000 miles. If you are like me you will change your oil every race outing. Fuel will get into the oil so you need to change for it to keep it's viscocity.
(2) Con- It is not at every gas station, but enough gas stations to make it worth it. Or at least keep a drum in your garage or bed room HAHA.
(3) Con-Your fuel system from factory may not be enough to support this fuel, additional cost in upgrading isn't the cheapest.
(4) Con-If you use cheap flex fuel products you will get cheap results, they are out there, buyer beware.
(5) Con-Tuning cost can be more costly if flex fuel, more time is needed to change fuel and retune. Here at ARS we tune on both fuels for flex fuel. (Proper way to tune).

(1) Pros-Depending if your vehicle is all motor or boosted will depend on power gains. Boosted applications can gain 70-100+ RWHP from switching fuels. All motor applications can gain 10-35+RWHP depending on modifications and if the vehicle is port injection or direct injection.
(2) Pro-Price, price is cheaper for the fuel from the pump. Typically it is over $1.00 cheaper per gallon.
(3)Pro-Smell, it smells so much better than your average 91-93 octane fuel. "Ethanol is a renewable fuel made from various plant materials collectively known as "biomass." More than 98% of U.S. gasoline contains ethanol, typically E10 (10% ethanol, 90% gasoline), to oxygenate the fuel, which reduces air pollution" (US Department of Energy).
(4) Pro- E85 runs cooler than regular pump gas. What does that mean for you? It keeps your engine cooler because it requires lower combustion temperatures.
(5) Pro-Safer fuel to run. E85 is like 105 race octane. We are able to up the timing, safely.
